ART-218 Mid-Rear Frame section was designed to fit on 1996-2002(3rd Gen) Toyota 4-Runner frames.

Our ART-218 SafeTCap® frame repair kit is made from 11ga steel and is approximately 36” long and caps the frame beginning at the forward fuel tank cross member and ending at the upper trailing arm mount cross member tube… This frame kit has perforation lines at the rear cab mount giving the option to notch the frame kit around the rear cab mount or replacing the metal behind the cab mount and reattaching the original mount or installing our new ART-219 replacement rear cab mount.

The rear lower trailing arm mount is made from 11ga steel, and is assembled, mounted, and welded to the frame kit by our AWS certified welders. Each frame kit comes with an M14-2.0 x 100 gr.10.9 HCS and nyloc nut for mounting your lower rear trailing arm to the new mount.

3rd Gen 4-Runner frame repair kits were designed to cap over the original frame without having to cut off any of the original frame, but we do recommend removing the rusted lower section of frame and any debris trapped in the frame….

All SafeTCap® frame repair kits are designed with drainage holes allowing any water and debris to drain out of the frame.
