Fits 1966-87 Grand WagoneerA great fix for a notorious problem. If you own a Full SizeWagoneer, you know about the problem with the fuel tankskid plate. The factory design allows dirt and debris to becometrapped inside the gas tank skid plate. Add some water andsoon the rust will appear. After a few months the rust startsattacking the structural integrity of the skid plate. Eventuallythe skid plate will fail and allow the tank to drop and createan unsafe condition. Our skid plate is designed to replace theoriginal one. We manufacture ours from 18 gauge steel (originalwas 20) and add a heavy gauge steel support along thebottom to help support the overall structure.
