This kit exists because ends of torsion bar cross member rust out next to the inner rocker. If you see rust in the area away from the torsion bar socket next to inner rocker, you need this kit. It corrects the weakened intersection on the underside. The fuel line or emergency brake cable might have to be temporarily removed during the installation. It's a quick slip-on and weld, and ties that area back together again. It fits perfectly into the end of the frame. This part is made from 13-gauge steel.
Please note that the "T" area covered by the T-Cap overlaps with the torsion mounts and the full front frame rails. If you've already got torsion mounts and full front frame rails, you don't need T-Caps.
